The following information is transcribed from the WPA Linn County Cemetery Survey, researched & prepared by Leslie L. Haskin on 2-19-1940:
The Lebanon Odd-Fellows Cemetery is situated in Section 2 or 3 (Maps and plats are imperfect and make this uncertain), Township 12 South, Range 2 West. This is a short one-half mile north of the northern environs of Lebanon and a short distance east of State Highway 54.
The cemetery is simply an ‘L’ shaped addition to the older Lebanon Masonic Cemetery. It bounds that tract on the north and west....
This is a quite recently established cemetery and as previously stated, seems to be a mere enlargement, under separate management of the older Masonic Cemetery.
The first burial here was that of Stephen B. Coyle, 1907. This Stephen B. Coyle was a member of the pioneer Coyle family of the Sodaville neighborhood.
(Note—Such graves as “Frankie Ralston, 1876-1885” are not original burials here but have been transferred from the original Lebanon (Old) Cemetery.)
This cemetery is owned and maintained by the Lebanon Odd-Fellows Lodge.
[end of Haskin survey]
Two surveys of the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery are available online at Lebanon Genealogical Society's website:
WPA-era survey (1939)
Emma Greer's 2000 survey - Note that this later survey includes both Lebanon IOOF and Lebanon Masonic Cemeteries combined.
