Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

sodaville school
finds documents containing 'sodaville ' or 'school

sodaville or school
same as above

sodaville and school
finds documents containing both 'sodaville ' and 'school

sodaville not school
finds documents containing 'sodaville ' but not 'school

(sodaville not church) and school
finds documents containing 'school', plus 'sodaville ' but not 'church

soda*
finds documents containing words starting with 'soda'
